This is my Aunt Dollie. She is my mother's sister. Since my mom passed away shortly after I got married, Aunt Dollie has been my substitute mom ever since. And she has done a darn good job of it. Whenever I needed her, she came. After most of the babies were born, she came to oooh and aaah over them with me. She is my greatest example of kindness, perserverance, generosity, and optimism. She taught me never to judge another harshly. She always greets everyone as if she has been best friends with them for ages. She has battled the chains of alcoholism and won. She has seen the black pit of despair, and climbed back out again. She has raised 3 children - each extremely bright and talented, and most of all, wonderful, good hearted, responsible, righteous people. Along with her own family, she adopted mine. No matter how many kids I brought with me, or how small a house she lived in, we were always welcomed without reservation. In the same way that the Lord did the miracle with the loaves and fishes -- Aunt Dollie has always shared with us what she has, no matter how small, and we always come away full--filled with her love and positive attitude, and an appreciation of the simple things in life.

Awwww we love Aunt Dollie! She's so good to us! Don't forget that she can get pretty fisty too when she needs to! Like if the post office rejects Uncle Sonny's meds! :)
